And of course, it wouldn't have been possible without Beatrice, she made it happen for me *clap clap*. Thank you so much dear, let's meet up and I'll treat you to dinner! We've so much to catch up!!! (Sorry my work ends late everyday so can only meet for dinner; all weekends are shoot days. Boo. This sunday is an exception.)
Hmmm...I shall attempt to blog more often. I'm extremely happy with the new outlook of my e-abode! ^_^

I'm feeling kinda down right now and I guess this is a rather good avenue for me to spill my tots. Well, I won't mention anything about why I'm feeling this way, it's complicated I guess. It's pouring again and I'm drenched even though I held the umbrella above my head. I was tempted to throw it aside and soak myself through and through in this cold rain, but then I remembered my precious ibook in my hands. I figured it's not time to abandon it yet...
Perhaps I'm overwhelmed by work and everything else. My mind feels utterly heavy. I like it when I load skype, it serves as a good reminder with its tagline "Take a deep breath" and that's exactly what I need to do every now and then. I'm so exhausted when I return home late everyday, my brains won't work and I become so unproductive at night. Actually, I'm loving my current job. For sure, it's what I enjoy doing. That's a huge difference from my previous job as an assistant producer for Lisa Ang; I did learnt a lot from her but her means are not exactly justifiable...but thanks to that job, it kinda boost my resume and I managed to secure this current job even without the hassle of an interview...it's amazing to see how God works out the path for me and lead me through the little steps...

15 Aug: Report to work at 12pm and had some sorta orientation...can't remember...
16 Aug: Cast chef at Su Korean resturant, boat quay - whee, they served us 2 of their famous dishes for free, my 1st time trying Binbinbam, nice! =)
17 Aug: Cast chef at Devagi, indian restaurant & cast chefs at Beach Culture, western restaurant at pasir ris park
20 Aug: Cast chef at Shima, jap restaurant at goodwood park hotel - whee, free food again & cast chef at Al Dente, italian restaurant at esplanade
21 Aug: Cast chef at Warung Le Le, indonesian restaurant
22 Aug: Meeting with kids hosts - wah not fair, the main host is paid $4500!
23 Aug: Cast chef at Blue Ginger, peranakan restaurant, lunch with lawrence & roy (sld meet up for lunch more often! whoever that's working at tanjong pagar, let's meet for lunch!!!), location recce with directors - so cool to be working directly with them
24 Aug: Cast chef at Jap restaurant, woot, free lunch?
25 Aug: 1st shoot of TNT - pilot episode
I've lost count of the number of restaurants I've visited so far....will add on to the list later...basically, I meet up with chefs, explain the programme to their managers, make sure the chefs speak English pretty well and look friendly on tv so they won't scare the kids etc. and I've to write scripts for the show which is kinda cool cos I get to decide on the treatment of the show too, but it's also very challenging! During production, I have to direct as well cos' they'll be 2 cameras filming at the same time.
The p'ple at Sitting in pictures are not very friendly, but generally nice...the directors, producer, production manager are nice...the interns are nice too, of cos, haha. I'm learning a lot from everyone!

Enjoyable yesterday -
met up with love...we only have a few hours to spare...chose the nostalgic lido...perfect for movie 881, which is very obviously royston tan style, especially in the v.o narration and art direction...the theater was filled with old aunties & uncles...grabbed the $1 cheesy hot dogs and joined the Simpson's family! (:

totally adore this season's clothes to the extend that I'd buy almost everything if I can actually afford. Madness. Yes, I just simply heart the 'made in portugal' styles!!!
I bought 2 of the tees below, a pair of shorts and I'm still contemplating if I should get this pretty zara kids dress. lol. I can actually fit into 9-10 years old size. And don't bother asking me to drink milk anymore. It's too late, isn't it? Hehehe.
Rushed down to surreal pictures to do some more logging when work has already officially ended. Oh man. It sucks. I believe Beatrice has put it across aptly "More disappointing and upsetting news. I guess that's what a low production budget can do to your brains. You just become somewhat unreasonable and sneaky and abusive. -Sigh- Production companies are always out to abuse inexperienced people. If they pay you poorly, you also do more work - citing it as good experience and portfolio. If they pay you well -- well, they might just try not to." I dare not work for Lisa Ang ever again...it's charity...
A good short catch up with Carmen on our way home on the train after Team Captain's Course.

There's so much to blog today, {Tuesday with love}. Hopefully, I will get to do so tmr with photos. As for now, I will have to zzz now. Tomorrow will be my 1st day of freelance work as an assistant director with Sitting In Pictures (where Eman & Lawrence had their internship) and I can't afford to be late. The previous freelance assistant producer job turned out to be quite a nightmare, so I guess I've to be more careful this time...shall sign a contract with them and ensure they pay me a well deserved *k per month! Hoho.Anyway something sets me thinking today: "Why is life often so dramatic?"

Last night, love aka Jiayi came over my house to stay. Amidst the weariness of doing work, there was a divulging moment which goes to show how much I have begin to open up my life to friends who truly matter to me right now. Well, it may be slight but I guess it's a small step of faith...eventually I'll tear down all walls and dismiss the post traumatic syndrome.
It seems that my languages of love are ever changing. It's rather different from the last time I attempted the quiz on 17th Sep 2006. Or maybe this quiz is just inaccurate. Hohoho.

Service was great today, it's my 1st time stage managing with the help of Jiali. Hehe. I managed to wake up on time today, which is usually not the case. Meet love at yishun and shijie drove us to nexus...I'm super duper sleepy throughout the day...nonetheless, I'm was refreshed! I'm especially touched by today's worship songs:

Oh wells, let's see, I'm drafting out an email, reading a work document, chatting on msn, making a phone call & blogging at the same time, well not exactly simultaneously, but you get the drift. I realised I have a very short attention span and I'm absolutely absent-minded.
A while ago, my msn nick was {bored}, minutes later I changed it to {bored & busy}. In reality, it's like I'm never bored when I'm at home cos there're 101 things to do; but I'm such a procrastinator, it's real bad, I know. I guess I'm just bored at heart, but my mind can't stop working. Aye, I don't even wanna look at my TO DO list now.
Okay, I just changed my mind and I'm getting back to work. Spell W-o-r-k-a-h-o-l-i-c.

Horray! We did manage to execute part of our plans to 'bless steven'...I realised we had accumulated 18 emails just on that topic alone with rather funny responses.
Most importantly, I'm glad we're doing this together (:
It was really nice of Puay to drive him back all the way to his NTU hostel even though she was already dead tired, not to mention the distance!
Don't you think that Gmail simply rocks? Oh yea, it's so colourful and they group your emails automatically. I'm hoping that they'll expand the account size; I've reached 100% of the 2886 MB storage space =(

Somehow I don't feel like I'm 20, it's as if I'm still 17. I don't exactly like the way I spent the past shambolic few years and I know I had brought it upon myself. So, I'm learning to forgive myself....let bygones be bygones, cast the past behind me and leap forward!!! That's what my heart desires, but every now and then, I still suffer from terrible nightmares, e.g. last night, I dreamt of the same person again. Seriously, when is this gonna end?
I figured the best way to spend this National Day holiday is to stay home and spend some time with my lil brother and sort out my stuff. Perhaps, I could still catch a glimpse of the fireworks later with Puay and whoever in the evening (:
Oh, HAPPY NATIONAL DAY! I'm so proud of my country that I didn't even bother to hang the flag outside the window (but my family did so for the past years) and I've no clue how old is Singapore till I do my maths, like 2007 - 1965 = 42, so it's 42? Okay, someone please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

Puay and I did watch The Simpsons Movie again today!Yes, it's our 2nd time but with a different company - Matthias, Ian & Ethan. The 1st time was with Xinyi, Steven & Aloysius, I think. Can't remember who else was there except that we were late and missed out the front bit of the movie. That explains why I didn't mind watching it again.
Woke up late today, have no idea why am I so weary these days...just can't get enough of zzz.
Cabbed down to siyuan's place and handed over the stuff to Beatrice. It seems like some kinda editing marathon. Anyway I think I'm really gonna miss working with Beatrice! Hehe.
Rushed down to Cineleisure for the movie and after that, finally, I remembered to attend the team captain's course! I'm so guilty of missing the past few lessons. If not, I'm usually refreshed and geared up with new insights to better organise y-comm and matters after each lesson.
Lastly, supper with Puay and Yiyou at serangoon garden market. I love moments like these, I simply love my minops friends! I had sugarcane with lemon, again and I am still thirsting for more. I shall deem it as my fav summer drink now (:
It was too late for me to get home by now, so here I am, staying over at Puay's house again.
So, today was a day well spent and
I'm sure it's gonna be a great week!
My only week left to rest and relax before I have to bury myself in work again.

By the way, we're going to JB this friday for lunch & shopping spree (Malaysia Mega Sales. hoho), anyone else interested?

I caught The SIMPSONS Movie recently and I just can't stop thinking about it...spider-pig and everything else...it's simply hilarious! Too bad I was late and missed the 1st part of the movie...I think I wanna purchase the DVD! =) Anyway I did sit through the entire credits and I wanna do the same for any good movies. You should too! This hymn speaks of my heart right now. When my world comes tumbling down and I'm done with crying, I will look to God. I want to be stronger, I want God to heal me, I want to be restored, back to who I was really created to be. I don't wanna be demarcated by brokenness any longer.
There is often a stormy area of our human nature where we feel God can't or won't work. When we truly understand who God is, however, we will realise that he controls both the storms of nature and the storms of the troubled heart. He, who calmed the storms, can also help us deal with the problems we face...
I should never discount His power even in terrible trials.
So, God, please help me.
And thank you all who believed in me, and love you all who have always been encouraging me.

Well, I had to catch up with some more work and sleep! Yes, definitely sleep.
The rest are all at FOP (I still haven't been to any FOP though everyone says it's good), the few of us went to PS for dinner, followed by an amusing time shopping for Bird's Nest with Puay. We were making a din in the shop, just couldn't decide which is the best for her grandparents. I didn't know it could get so complicated; there're so many different kinds of Bird's Nest with different percentage of concentration and sugar. Anyway, I can't remember when was the last time I tasted Bird's Nest. I only like it when it's chilled.
By the way, the fried mars bar at PS basement 2 sucks! It's totally gross compared to the one at Far East Plaza! =(
